I see a lot of people at the office. I see patterns, and trends, and hear the same excuses over and over again. Physical, chemical, and emotional stress runs rampant throughout our society. People are busted up, broken down, overworked, overstressed, and overwhelmed.


Elemental health habits and behaviors get put on the back burner while they selflessly work their tails off to get ahead, stay ahead, and provide.

Some smart person once said.. "People don’t buy what you do, they buy WHY you do it". I agree. Well, our “why” is written right into the name. After seeing thousands of patients, I've concluded people need basic, elemental, diet, eXercise, and lifestyle advice more now than ever. They need education, coaching, and accountability before their health goes all the way off the rails.


This is what your doctor should be doing for you. But chances are they're too busy reacting to the insane amount of horrible health situations walking through their door and doing their best to manage symptoms instead of actually helping you change your health.


That’s my mission.

The EX Mission Statement:


At Element X we believe every person has a mission while they’re here on this planet. That mission requires they optimize and maintain their health to the best of their ability.


We believe most people put too much faith in the ‘experts’ these days. They outsource their health to the reactive medical system that, by design, is simply not good at helping people with chronic, lifestyle-related, preventable illnesses. There is so much that can be done, with a little know-how and effort, to keep people from falling ill and needing those services. We have that know-how, and we have a mission to share it with as many people as possible.


In an age of constant misinformation and spin, we’ve done the due diligence. We’re here, as a community, to lift one another up. We strive to encourage positive health & fitness changes that are effective, efficient, and sustainable, so people are better equipped to go out and dominate their mission.



So back to the name. Let’s define “element”


element

[ el-uh-muhnt ]

noun

  1. a component or constituent of a whole or one of the parts into which a whole may be resolved by analysis.


Elements, like we see on the periodic table, are basic building blocks of matter, and of life.


Using that analogy, I've concluded that people need elemental health information, they need help in adopting fundamental, effective, efficient, and sustainable health habits and behaviors.

Through roughly 15 years of intense study, research, and schooling in the field of human health, I've concluded there are 4 primary/elemental health categories (EHCs) that contribute to human health: Nutrition, Movement, Psyche, and Recuperation.

These elements are the basic fundamentals of what makes humans healthy.

Effectively, efficiently, and sustainably optimizing these categories of everyday living is the key to building resilient health in this health-ravaging modern world we live in.

Now you may be thinking, “Okay cool, but you’re a chiropractor.. Where does that fit in?” Well, clearly chiropractic care, at its essence, is enhancing movement. Indirectly, it affects all of these categories, and I could explain that in detail, but for the sake of this message, we’re going to just lump chiropractic in as a small contributor to just the movement category.


So, you can see there’s a whole lot more to helping people get healthy than just adjusting spines.


That’s where the X comes in.


The reason the company is Element X is two-fold.


#1 - Picture the four corners of the X having a specific health category at the end:

Clever, right?


It gets better.


The #2 reason why the company is called Element X is that the X also represents what I believe impacts and enhances all four categories most effectively...


eXercise.

It’s a no-brainer that everyone needs to be exercising.. But when you really start to understand all the benefits, in detail, it’s downright mind-blowing. Every doctor you see should be addressing exercise with their patients. Exercise is of course part of the movement category, but it influences all the other categories, significantly. When implemented appropriately and intelligently, it is the most effective, efficient, and sustainable way to radically improve one's overall health. I’ve seen it do amazing things for myself, my family, my friends, and my patients. From improved mobility strength, and aesthetics, to chronic disease prevention, and mental health benefits.


I was a personal trainer back in college and throughout chiropractic school. Now that I’ve been a chiropractor for 8 years, in order to maximize the effectiveness of my services, I’m going back to being a personal trainer, kind of. :) I’m not giving up being a chiropractor because it's a powerful tool and it helps tons of people. However, nothing compares to the impact positive, diet, eXercise, and lifestyle change can have. So, It looks like I have to do both.

After years of researching, pondering, and trial and error, I’ve finally created an effective, efficient, and sustainable system to get it done.


It’s not just a service, it’s a movement.

It’s not just Element X Health & Fitness Coaching, it’s also Element X Health & Fitness Culture.


Now you know why it's called..
